TAM PANEL

The PSM-5 Panel is a stainless steel test panel used to verify the sensitivity and performance of fluorescent penetrant inspection systems. Measuring 4 x 6 inches with a chrome-plated strip, it features five starburst-style crack centers of varying sizes that simulate surface flaws. These cracks fluoresce under UV light, helping inspectors detect sudden changes in system behavior such as penetrant contamination, incorrect dwell time, or improper wash conditions. The panel is typically used at the start of each shift or when the system shows inconsistent results, serving as a quick and reliable check for penetrant system integrity.
