Oceanscan and HPR team take on the Beast Race for Charlie House
A team from across Oceanscan, HPR, GDG and Ordtek is getting ready to swap the office for mud, obstacles and some seriously challenging Scottish terrain as they take on the Beast Race in support of local community charity Charlie House.
Taking place in September, the Beast Race is no ordinary 10km run. The team will face a gruelling course packed with tough terrain, giant obstacles, water slides, icy loch water, thick mud and swamp crossings – putting their fitness, determination and teamwork to the ultimate test.
And while there may be plenty of mud, bruises and questionable life choices along the way, there’s a very worthwhile reason behind the challenge.
Supporting Charlie House
The team is raising money for Charlie House, a local charity dedicated to supporting children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across the north-east of Scotland, as well as providing vital support to their families.
For the team, taking on the Beast Race is a chance to do something challenging together while raising funds and awareness for a charity that makes such an important difference to local families.

One team. One very muddy challenge.
With colleagues from across our businesses coming together for the challenge, the Beast Race is a great opportunity to demonstrate the same teamwork and camaraderie that we value every day across the group – although this time, there will be considerably more mud involved.
The team has already been getting behind the fundraising effort, and we’re hoping colleagues, customers, partners, friends and family will get behind them too.

We’ll be following the team’s progress as they tackle the Beast Race – and cheering them on every muddy step of the way!
Good luck, team!
