APPLIED ACOUSTICS 1019 MINI BEACON

The 1000 Series Mini Beacons are compact, versatile underwater beacons that utilize Applied Acoustics’ proprietary Sigma bi-directional Spread Spectrum technology for use in tracking and positioning applications. These beacons are particularly suited for use in dynamic environments like ROVs, sidescan sonar operations, and USBL systems. They can operate as a transponder, responder, or pinger and offer high power options for longer operational ranges.

These beacons are designed for ease of configuration with a 5-pin connector and work with various USBL systems, including AAE’s Nexus, Easytrak, iXBlue GAPS, and others. With a rugged, anodized aluminum housing, they are durable and suitable for harsh marine environments. Additionally, the rechargeable NiMH battery provides extended operational life, and with remote transducer options, they are flexible enough to meet a wide variety of subsea operational needs.
