The ASAMS System 12 is a portable, diver-operated underwater magnetic particle inspection (MPI) system designed for shallow water and tidal environments. It is a self-contained unit powered by a rechargeable 12V battery, providing up to 4 hours of use without needing an umbilical connection. The system features a high-intensity, switchable UV lamp and a 12V DC electromagnetic yoke with a strong pull force for effective inspections. It also offers an optional ink supply for MPI and is pressure rated for use up to 180m (yoke) and 300m (UV lamp). Built with durable anodized aluminum, it’s ideal for underwater, tool, diver-held, and internal pipe inspections.
