EXAIL (IXBLUE) GAPS USBL

The iXBlue GAPS (Global Acoustic Positioning System) is a fourth-generation, pre-calibrated USBL system that combines ultra-short baseline (USBL) technology and a fiber-optic inertial navigation system (INS) in one compact unit. It delivers precise subsea positioning across a range of challenging environments, from extremely shallow waters(as shallow as 10 meters) to depths exceeding 4000 meters.

The GAPS system is portable, pre-calibrated, and designed for rapid deployment, saving time and costs. It is ideal for a variety of underwater applications, including AUVs, ROVs, surveying, dynamic positioning (DP), and pipeline deployments. Its ability to integrate GPS, INS, and USBL enables real-time positioning with high accuracy (0.06% of slant range) and advanced signal processing.
