The IXSEA OCTANS 3000 is a subsea gyrocompass and motion sensor designed for survey-grade applications, capable of measuring heading, roll, pitch, surge, sway, and acceleration in water depths up to 3,000 meters. Based on fiber-optic gyroscope (FOG) technology, the OCTANS 3000 is a maintenance-free and high-performance systemsuitable for use in various subsea operations, including ROV surveying, multibeam sonar motion reference, dredging, and marine construction.
This compact and portable system delivers real-time data with 0.1° accuracy for heading, 0.01° accuracy for roll/pitch, and heave accuracy of 5 cm or 5%. The system is built with a titanium housing, ensuring that it is both corrosion-resistant and capable of withstanding harsh subsea conditions. It is also easy to integrate into existing systems, making it an efficient solution for projects with tight deadlines. Moreover, the OCTANS 3000 can be upgraded to a full Inertial Navigation System (INS), offering enhanced performance for navigation and survey operations.
