The cNODE® Transponders are a family of underwater acoustic transponders used for precise positioning and data link in subsea applications. These transponders operate in conjunction with HiPAP®, HPR, and cPAP® transceivers and are designed to work with the Cymbal® acoustic protocol, ensuring compatibility with both HiPAP®/HPR 400 channels and telemetry systems. The modular design allows for a variety of different transducers, internal/external sensors, and add-on functions, offering flexibility for a wide range of subsea applications.
The cNODE® system supports SSBL (Super Short Base Line) and LBL (Long Base Line) positioning and delivers high-accuracy positioning with a range accuracy of 0.01 m between transponders. It also features an acoustic data linkfor real-time command and data transfer. The modular design means components like the transducer, electronics, and battery pack can be easily replaced without the need to replace the entire transponder, making it a cost-effective solutionfor ongoing subsea operations.
