The RSL Flooded Member Detection (FMD) System is a specialized subsea inspection tool designed to detect the presence of flooding in subsea structures such as pipelines, risers, and marine equipment. Available for use with either diver or ROV operations, the system uses ultrasonic technology to measure the level of flooding within structures, ensuring early detection of leaks or integrity issues that could lead to significant operational problems.
The system includes a 0.5 MHz subsea transducer, capable of operating at depths of up to 2,000 meters, and comes with a rugged laptop computer for control and data visualization. The system also includes RSL FMD software, which provides real-time readings and outputs via RS232. The system can be powered by a 24V DC power supply and is designed for flexible deployment with an umbilical cable of 200 meters.
