The Gemini 720im is a compact, high-performance real-time multibeam imaging sonar that operates at a frequency of 720 kHz. It delivers high-resolution underwater imaging in a variety of applications, offering an impressive 90° horizontal field of view and a range of 50 meters. The Gemini 720im is one of the smallest multibeam imaging sonars in the world, making it ideal for use in applications where space is at a premium, such as micro ROVs, AUVs, and diver operations.
Designed with adaptive processing, it automatically switches between CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radar Pulse) and CW (Continuous Wave) modes to maximize image definition, ensuring the clearest images at various ranges. This sonar provides high angular resolution and fast update rates (up to 20Hz), which is crucial for real-time applicationslike obstacle avoidance, vessel navigation, and search and recovery (SAR).
The system comes with Tritech Genesis integrated software for easy integration with other sensors and customizable system setups. It is powered by 12V-48V DC and operates at a low power consumption (4.5W to 17W).
