VALEPORT 308 CURRENT METER

The Valeport BFM308 is a self-recording oceanographic current meter designed for precise measurement of current speed and direction in subsea environments. The device is part of Valeport’s 300 Series and is built for rugged use, capable of withstanding harsh conditions, making it suitable for oceanographic studies, hydrographic surveys, and marine research.

This system is designed to provide accurate, vector-averaged speed and direction measurements, with the option to include conductivity, temperature, and depth sensors, enabling the collection of comprehensive oceanographic data. The Model 308 offers self-recording capabilities, allowing it to operate independently for extended periods and store over 30,000 records in its 128 KB memory (expandable to 1 MB). Additionally, the unit can be deployed for real-time data collection or programmed for autonomous recording.
